Anchor as Our Symbol

Many folks have asked us where the name "Anchor Physical Therapy" came from. Well, here's the story.

For thousands of years, the anchor has been a symbol of hope and faith for mariners and others lost in a storm or trying their best to hold on against all odds. We feel that we offer hope for those patients that seem to be at the end of their rope. Dealing with pain can sometimes imitate a storm and can leave many feeling lost and alone. At Anchor Physical Therapy, we help to manage the rough seas of pain and emotion with compassionate and efficient care for the condition that you present to us.

And now…"the rest of the story"

One of the outdoor past times that Mike and Robin love is fishing. During the time that we were forming the company and looking for an effective name, Robin was online with Cabella's ordering a “belly boat” for our summer outings that year. As most women are into “fashion accessories”, it was no different when Robin went to order her boat. At one point she commented that she would need an anchor and Mike immediately went on the defensive saying that an anchor was not necessary for a belly boat (knowing he would be the one to carry it from the car to the lake whenever they went fishing). As we “discussed” this needed accessory, the idea of using “Anchor” as part of the name became a reality. After all, it fit the criteria we had established:
