Welcome to the Anchor Physical Therapy Spine, Sports Medicine and Workers Compensation Web Site. Our hope is that you will get all the answers to questions you may have regarding physical therapy to help you to greater health and a better life.
Rather than tout the wonderful care we provide you are the best judge of the care you receive. Anchor PT is a family owned and operated private practice and our only concern is for your health and well being.
Our success is dependent on your involvement as your therapist will design a customized home exercise program to compliment what we do in the clinic. We see the greatest improvement in those patients that follow their home exercise program as muscle weakness/muscle imbalance is normally the culprit causing your discomfort.

Free Back/Spine Screen!
Did you know that 80% of the population will suffer from back pain sometime in their lifetime? Then to top it off the re-injury rate is 50% after having your first back injury. Back pain can be caused by many things. Strains or sprains of the muscles or ligaments can occur at home, work, or play. Traumatic accidents or falls are a common cause of back injuries. Occasionally back pain can occur without a specific mechanism of injury. Back pain can be related to poor postural awareness, sleeping on an unsupportive surface, or cumulative trauma over the years causing wear and tear on the back. Pain in the back or spine can also be caused by asymmetries in the pelvic girdle. This can cause a functional leg length discrepancy which in turn affects spinal alignment thus contributing to back pain.
